About

Hi, I'm the founder of RunMyWealth — friends call me The Compounder, and that'll do here too.

I'm not going to pretend I'm a face you'd recognize, and honestly I'd rather you focus on the tools than on me. But you deserve to know who's behind the numbers, so here's the honest version.

Why I built this

Years ago I started wondering something simple: if I invested a fixed amount and just let it sit and grow, what would my net worth actually look like in ten, twenty, thirty years? I couldn't find a calculator that answered it the way I wanted, so I started building my own spreadsheets just to see the number for myself.

Around the same time, I'd lost a lot of faith in relying on any government safety net to take care of my future — which meant figuring out how to build and diversify my own financial plan, on my own terms. I've also lived the messier side of this myself: I took out two mortgage loans, and eventually rolled them into a single personal loan just to simplify things and be done with the juggling. That's one story. There are a lot more like it behind the calculators on this site — each one exists because I, or someone close to me, actually needed the answer it gives.

My background

I'm not a licensed financial advisor, and nothing on this site should be read as one talking to you — worth saying plainly, up front. What I do bring: over a decade of professional experience at a government-linked organization focused on business growth and foreign investment, which means I've spent my career around how capital, investment, and business planning actually work in practice. I hold a PMP and an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University. And outside of work, I've spent years being the person friends, family, and colleagues call before opening an investment account or signing on a loan — not as their advisor, just as someone who genuinely enjoys sitting down and running the numbers with them.

That's really the whole origin of RunMyWealth: I was already doing this math for the people around me. I just decided to build the tools so anyone could do it for themselves.

What this is, and where it's going

RunMyWealth is built to be fast, clean, and free — no login, nothing stored on our servers tied to an account, just answers when you want them. Right now that means a growing set of calculators for borrowing, growing, and saving. Next, I'm expanding the Retire Abroad tool with more guidance on where to go, and I'll keep adding new calculators the same way I always have: because a real question came up that needed a real answer.

It's just me building this, one calculator at a time. If something's missing, wrong, or could be better, I'd genuinely like to hear it.
